<p>In this paper a novel air-conditioning system is described which uses an environmentally friendly working fluid and a renewable heat source; with efficiency and manufacturing costs similar to conventional air-conditioning technologies.T he solar powered ejector cycle for air conditioning was designed for a hospital in Manzanillo, Mexico. This system consists of a solar energy collection unit and an ejector cooling cycle. Solar parabolic troughs were considered to run the 13 kW air conditioning system. Water was considered the most suitable refrigerant for the system. A COP of .62 was estimated for the large-scale prototype.</p>
