<p>Recently a new equipment for dehumidification was put onto the market. It is a self regenerating liquid desiccant cooling system able to dehumidify, heating or cooling the ambient air by an electric heat pump that is a part of the equipment. A testing rig was built up to evaluate experimentally the performance of this interesting device. A small residential unit was experimented. Tests consider different temperatures and humidity for the air to be treated and regenerating, evaluating the dehumidification rate of the equipment and the possible balance of the desiccant that on one side loses water vapour gaining on the other side. The results are compared to some data supplied by the manufacturer.</p>
