<p>This paper focuses on the results of the thermal analysis and the consequent architectural proposal in order to reduce the energy consumption of air conditioning in an existing case. The building is the central pavilion of the International Airport of Santiago, Arturo Merino Benitez. Basically the strategy for the retrofitting is the addition of external shading devices, applied on the north façade (S.H.), designed according to estimations and alternatives of existing products.</p>
