<p>Energy saving demands have brought requirements for reduction of energy consumption in buildings. Energy saving regulations should be respected in the process of building design, construction, service and renovation. The design of new or retrofitted buildings requires optimisation of many variations. Computer simulations of energy balance in selected types of buildings were carried out in case studies for the prediction of the optimal design solution of the energy-efficient building.</p>
