<p>Double Skin Facades (DSF) are increasingly applied in office buildings. However, designers are in some aspects unaware of the overall behaviour and real performance of a DSF. In this field, relatively little has been done on thermal overheating control, specifically on the case of a façade performing under extreme or moderate summer conditions. A 3D model of the chamber was made and modelled on CFD in order to visualise the airflow within the system. The objective was the study of theoretical modelling of airflow in building façades, to complement the experimental work done in the University of Nottingham. The modelling work has demonstrated the feasibility and versatility of CFD for the modelling of double skin façades</p>
