<p>Research on passive solar heating and cooling technologies is intensively developed to reduce the total building energy consumption. Basically, passive solar heating system designs are either direct heat gain from solar radiation where the heat is absorbed and stored or through the building features such as Trombe wall, solar chimney or sunny space which use buoyant forces concept. Whereas, passive solar cooling, most of the researches focus on creating cooling effects by natural ventilation through buoyancy features. This paper is to review the passive solar technologies that can be applied for heating and cooling systems in buildings..</p>
