Based on the quality of rural cellar in the northwest in China, the solar heating system with cellar as thermal storage was designed. For rural family the application feasibility of the solar heating system with cellar as thermal storage was discussed in rural area in the northwest in China. In the same time this system was made trial of its actual use for rural family subsequently. The paper made essential discussion on this system type and analysed the value of application and spread for this system in rural area in the northwest in China.
