<p>Transpired collector has been found to enhance the heat transfer from absorber plate to the air. However, it would result in increasing of pressure loss and hence, power required by fan. The paper presented thermal and thermo-hydraulic performance of glazed transpired collector with slit-like perforation. Experimental results showed that in given structure and certain parameter values, solar radiation intensity Ic from 210 to 450W/m², outdoor wind speed Vw from 1 to 4 m/s, ambient temperature Ta from 291 to 298K, inlet air temperature Ti from 293 to 308K, and volume flow Q from 100 to 180m³/h, thermal and thermo-hydraulic efficiency were higher, respectively above 48% and 47%, proven to be energy-saving. By analysis, radiation heat transfer and jet impingement predominated in process. And thermal and thermo-hydraulic efficiency increased with values of Q and Ic, decreased with values of Ti and Vw. However, with values of Q, growth rate of thermo-hydraulic efficiency was smaller than that of thermal efficiency, due to increasing of pressure loss.</p>
