<p>The use of energy resources has increased manifold. Traditional farming is being substitutes by modern energy intensive farming. In the Last two decades there has been an increasing interest in the concept of agricultural sustainability. Theoretical and practical aspects, primarily the environmental concern, have been extensively developed in agronomic and economic forums. This paper seeks to examine the existing energy input-output pattern of important cropping system at improved level of technology and try to maximize the net return and net energy through optimal allocation of inputs on different categories of farms.</p>
