<p>Piezoelectric energy harvesting methods are increasing with the advancements in piezoelectric materials and its storage elements. Nonetheless, benefiting out of wind energy carries importance between energy harvesting methods, since usable energy resources are coming to an end. Piezoelectric materials can be utilized to convert kinetic energy to electrical energy and nowadays benefiting out of wind energy is new generation piezoelectric energy harvesting. Usage of piezoelectric generators will have low-cost with respect to wind turbines and their maintenance would be easier. In the piezoelectric harvesting technology, material choice is of the first order of importance, since their strain rate, robustness are of concern, and materials efficiency rates and their resonance frequencies should be in the point of view for optimum efficiency. Moreover, the effective designs to harvest maximum energy out of wind energy and methods to increase efficiency should be taken into consideration for higher power generation. The existing piezoelectric wind generators can be mainly put into categories of leaf type, rotary type, rotary to linear type and beam type wind generators.</p>
