<p>The paper presents an ongoing EU funded Marie curie international research exchange scheme for R&amp;D in sustainable building energy systems and retrofitting. This programme is to develop and maintain long term partnerships between European and Chinese participant organizations by undertaking joint researches into the development of several zero (low) carbon cooling, heating and power generation technologies for building and promoting best practice and strategy for retrofitting existing buildings. The paper outlines the aims, objectives, project tasks and examples of work carried out so far by partners. A website which reports the activities and outcomes of the research is introduced.</p>
