<p>Hydrogen storage system based on metal hydride has been analyzed using Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA). Initially, design specification is identified and preliminary design calculation is carried out. Nine units of Horizon MH350 metal hydride canisters are selected to be used as the storage component. CFD analysis shown that the pressure has distributed equally to all metal hydride canisters during charging and discharging condition while the temperature has dissipated quickly through tube wall. However, CFD analysis carried is based on the specification provided by the parts manufacturer and does not include the real chemical reaction behavior of metal hydride components. Therefore the system has been designed with the characteristic would depend on the specification of metal hydride canister provided by the manufacturer.</p>
