<p>Industry’s focus on wind and sun rays for clean electricity can be partially ascribed to them seeing these technologies working and understanding risks and costs. Many other clean energy and energy storage technologies are available and need to properly understood by industry before being adopted for commercialisation. Demonstration projects with believable information about risks, costs and return on investment allow industry to make informed risk and financial investment decisions. Important to commercialisation is the reduction of resistance and apathy by the consumer. A general attitude of willingness to have local clean electricity generating installations will help negate the opinions of people who resist change, NIMBYs and environmental activists. The use of Architects and Environmental Artists to make electricity production installations aesthetically attractive would go a long way to making the consumer more receptive. Personal ownership and use of clean energy will make many users desire local, commercial clean electricity installations. It will also begin the change of paradigm from ‘state or industry supplied electricity’ to ‘autonomous, clean electricity’. This paper addresses the preparation of technology development projects for the commercialisation process and proposes a Low voltage DC system with energy storage is proposed to simplify low-cost installations.</p>
