<p>Iranian houses were combination of thought, aesthetics, technique and motivations of environmental conditions, natural materials and traditional techniques. One of the secrets of survival in Iranian houses is the used ecological principles. Residential houses as a space that is most closely connected with the community, so this paper wants to seek an answer to control energy consumption and wastes in contemporary houses of this continent by ways that our predecessors and ancestors used to deal with climate in tough conditions on the Iranian plateau in cold climates. This paper will compare some houses from Tabriz and Zanjan cities that they both placed in cold and dry climate, and the prediction is resemblance or common climatic answers between residence of these cities, if the result is yes, is there any clue to use those common answers for under constructed and new residential places or not, and common results will be selected for the future residences.</p>
