<p>This paper presents development process of an analytical model based on regression method for performance analysis of an innovative counter flow dew point cooler. The innovative counter flow dew point cooler with a unique corrugated heat transfer surface is considered in this paper. Based on the previous research on the novel dew point cooler by numerical simulation and experimental testing, the regression model is developed for commercializing and exploration of the product. The regression model can also be useful to analyze the other types of the counter flow indirect evaporative/dew point coolers (i.e. flat plate types) by having proper modifications in the analytical model. Temperature and relative humidity of the intake air, flow rate and working air fraction over the intake air, interval and height are the six independent variables which have been used to carry out the analysis. Five dependent variables to evaluate the performance of the innovative dew point cooler are cooling capacity, coefficient of performance, pressure drop, dew point effectiveness and wet-bulb effectiveness. Results indicate that the relative errors for the cooling capacity, coefficient of performance, pressure drop, dew point effectiveness and wet-bulb effectiveness are 6.22%, 8.35%, 0.08%, 3.12%, 2.58% respectively. Finally, r-squared for all of them is almost 1 that endorses the quality of the model. This model has been developed based on previous numerical model. The aim to develop this model is for an alternative model operation, easy for operation. The coefficient found is based on numerical model or testing data.</p>
