<p>As a result of the increasing population and rapidly developing technology around the world, the need for energy on a global scale is increasing day by day. The fossil fuels used to meet this energy need cause irreversible damage to the environment. Therefore, the efficient use of energy resources is extremely important. In this respect, in addition to increasing the use of renewable energy sources, it is essential to improve the efficiency of existing technologies. For example, even small improvements in energy efficiency in cooling applications, which account for 6% of energy consumption worldwide, will be effective in preventing major environmental problems. The most used cycles in refrigerator applications are vapour compression refrigeration cycles, thermoelectric refrigeration cycles and absorption refrigeration cycles. Among these cycles, vapour compression refrigeration cycles have the highest COP values. They are also noisy and contain an environmentally harmful refrigerant. Although thermoelectric refrigeration cycles have lower COP values compared to other cycles, they are widely preferred especially in portable refrigerator applications, thanks to their silent and vibration-free operation, no moving parts, fast response times, and no harmful refrigerants.</p>
