The vision behind Caravel Press
Academic publishing should serve researchers, not the other way around.
Prof. Riffat founded Caravel Press in 2025 with a clear purpose: to make scholarly publishing more accessible, more affordable and more equitable. As CEO of WSSET, he saw first-hand how financial and institutional barriers limit who gets to publish and who gets to read. Research shouldn't be locked behind a paywall. It belongs to everyone.
