Services
Publish with confidence.
A home for your journal.
We host and run scholarly journals for societies, institutions, and editorial teams. The platform, the workflow, the production, the reach. Everything a journal needs, taken care of.
The editorial pipeline
Yours to lead. Ours to run.
From manuscript to indexed article, guiding you through each step. Where the record can measure a stage, this page prints how long it takes us.
Submission
Everything arrives together. The manuscript, the authors with their iDs and their institutions, the declarations, the licence. Nothing is chased afterwards.
- Original work
- All authors have agreed
- Ethically conducted
- Open access terms
The four confirmations navOS asks for, in the words it asks them.
Editor check
The editor opens one screen and it is all already on it: the anonymised copy, the similarity figures, the declarations, the scope. A desk decision takes a minute rather than an afternoon of collecting attachments.
Three ways out. All three are recorded, including the ones nobody wants.
Peer review
Double anonymous. A reviewer is invited by a link that is itself the credential, so nobody makes an account to do you a favour. Reminders go on their own schedule.

InvitedAcceptedReadingReport inEvery report is structured against the same five criteria.
Decision
The editor writes once, and the letter, the reports and the deadline go out together. Every round is kept, so the history of a paper is a record rather than an inbox.
Sent together
And kept. Every round a paper goes through stays on its record, with the letter that ended it.
Copyediting and production
Typesetting happens here, not at a supplier. The galley is typeset from the accepted manuscript, with real mathematics, real figures, and the journal's own design.

Support and training
Editors, supported.
From the first onboarding call to whenever a question comes up, your team has ours.
How it works
We do not hand your editors a manual and walk away.
When a journal joins us, we put live calls in the diary with your editorial team and walk the platform stage by stage until everyone is comfortable running a paper on their own.
Scheduled session
Google MeetOnboarding: editorial workflow walkthrough
Attendees
- Caravel PressHost
- Your editor-in-chiefEditorial
- Your managing editorEditorial office
Live training sessions
Scheduled video calls with your team: editorial workflow, reviewer assignment, production, everything needed to run the journal day to day.
Follow-up materials
Written notes and short walkthrough recordings after each session, kept on hand for whenever your team needs them.
Ongoing access
Your editors have our email addresses and phone numbers, and they reach people, not a queue.
Books
Scholarly books, open access.
Monographs, edited volumes, and textbooks. Published to the same standards as our journals: peer reviewed, CC BY licensed, permanently preserved.
Conference proceedings
Conference proceedings, properly published.
For societies and research networks running annual or biennial conferences. Each volume published as an open access collection, with the rigour of a journal issue.
What a volume carries
- A DOI for the volume and for every paper in it
- Peer review recorded against each contribution
- The same typesetting and the same metadata as a journal issue
- Indexed and harvestable from the day it goes live
