Repository and self-archiving

Authors may deposit any version of their article in any repository, at any time, with no embargo.

The policy

Authors publishing in Green Technology & Innovation may deposit their work in an institutional repository, a subject repository, a preprint server, a funder repository, a personal or departmental website, or a scholarly network.

Submitted version (preprint): May be deposited at any time. No embargo.
Accepted manuscript: May be deposited at any time. No embargo.
Version of record (published): May be deposited at any time. No embargo.

There is no embargo on any version, because there is nothing for an embargo to protect: the published version is already open access under CC BY 4.0.

We ask only that a deposited version cites the published article and gives its DOI, so that a reader who finds the copy can reach the version of record.
