The aims of solar collectors or concentrators are to collect as much as solar radiation energy, so vertical incident to solar collectors is expected.It leads to the existion of optimum tilt angle of solar collectors as well as the reasonable design of solar collectors.This paper presents a novel and general calculation method about optimum tilt angle of solar collectors by means of a clear-day solar radiation model. Optimum tilt angle yearly,semiyearly in summer months and semiyearly in winter months,respectively,23 world famous cities are presented for references.
