Abstract

Ejector is a simple, reliable and effective thermal apparatus, which can be used to make low-grade waste heat regenerated. When high-pressure vapor flows through the nozzle in the ejector, the suction of low-pressure vapor is generated, and then the two flows mix and undertake pressure recovery in the diffuser part of the ejector. Thus we can increase the pressure of the suction flow. At this point, we make the ejector the vapor compressor or heat pump. As a vapor compressor, the ejector is simple in structure, reliable in operation and easy to maintain, but at the same time it suffers from its low efficiency. Recently, as the development of the ejector refrigeration and the utilization of solar energy, there are many research papers on the ejector refrigeration system and hybrid system. Since its simplicity and reliability, it is not difficult to make ejector-mechanical compressor hybrid system and ejector-absorption system hybrid system. Usually such systems can be benefit from efficiency increase, without getting in trouble of a complex system. This paper reviews the development. By thermal analysis, comparisons between different adapted systems are made, as well as the economical feasibility comparisons.
