The growth and development of what we currently call 'Building Services Engineering', since its beginnings in early part of last century, has been exponential. In the UK, BSRIA reports, that the size of the industry has overtaken many others, such as farming, once regarded as a significant mainstay of our economy. Even greater growth occurred in Hong Kong and is now under-way throughout China. By any criteria these are big successes.
