In order to keep the indoor air quality, HVAC systems in commercial and institutional buildings have been largely developed. Automatic control of indoor environment, energy saving and monitoring of air quality are the main urgent tasks. Intelligent monitoring systems provide basic methods to insure healthy living environment. This paper describes the application of healthy-building environment management and the issues concerned. And also, the composition of intelligent monitoring system for indoor environment, the selection of parameters of the system, and related topics in system design are discussed.
