Abstract

This paper presents the development of a previous numerical simulation of the flow through a turbine stage with “in-situ” combustion. The flow and combustion are modeled by the Reynolds averaged Navier-Stokes equations coupled with the species equations. Turbulent quantities are modeled within the low Reynolds number k-eps model. The chemistry model used involves a multi-step, finite rate combustion model for methane and combustion gases.
