Abstract

This research was conducted as a fundamental study in presenting efficient installation standards for decentralized air-conditioning systems in residential buildings. Ergo, the study observed the current status and issues of residential air-conditioning in South Korea and selected the most commonly used indoor package air-conditioning system types. Then CFD numerical analysis was performed to compare and analyze the indoor thermal environment achieved by each type of package air-conditioning system.
