In southern China, the temperature in transitional season is appropriate but the humidity is so high that people will feel uncomfortable and the goods will get damp, thus, the indoor air needs to be dehumidified without temperature drop. In this paper, a novel dehumidification appliance without temperature drop was brought forward, which could switch between cooling mode and dehumidification mode through valves. Based on the orthogonal experiment, the dehumidification capacity, EER, and energy consumption were studied and fitting equations were given. The results showed that the dehumidification capacity was 1-3 kg/h, which could meet the dehumidification demand of an average residential house. The dehumidification EER was 1-2, and proper assessment of this process should be studied. The outlet temperature of the unit was 1-2.5 centi-grade lower than the inlet temperature, so the unit could be further studied to get a better result.
