Abstract

The V-trough PV systems with polysilicon cell array and super cell array have been designed and measured. With variation of cell temperature, the influence of the open-circuit voltage, short-circuit current, output power and fill factor on V-trough concentration system has been analyzed. The results indicate that the output power of 10 pieces of polysilicon cell array is 6.198W and the power is 1.21 times as that of non-concentrating condition. Maximum output power of V-trough system with water cooling could increase to 8.28W and power increment reach 62.67% compared with the non-concentrating PV system. For the super cell array without water cooling, the maximum output power of V-trough system varies from 7.834W to 14.223W. The results of this work provide reliable data support to the practical application of the V-trough PV system in future.
