Abstract

The performance tests of two types of domestic concentrating silicon cell arrays with parallel and inverted square grid-line distribution have been carried out on trough concentrating photovoltaic/thermal system respectively. Experimental results indicated that photoelectric efficiency of the two selected concentrating silicon cell arrays reached 11.42% and 13.89%, also the maximum power amplified 16.1 times and 19.3 times respectively with real concentrating ratio 20 times. The temperature coefficients of Pm, FF, and η of cell arrays were -0.047W/K,-0.45%/K,-0.035%/K and -0.029W/K,-0.176%/K, -0.105%/K separately. All those works are benefits for choosing solar cells and cosmically utilizing trough concentration PV system.
