Abstract

Freezing Characteristics of three Phase Change Materials (n-Octadecane, n-Hexadecane and Paraffin wax) are studied. Copper Cylinders (25, 35, 45,60mm) with insulated bottom were used for radial freezing which was affected by an isothermal water bath. Results of PCM heat transfer coefficients and Nusselt number are given. The results of Paraffin wax differ significantly from the other two PCMs
