Abstract

In the last three decades, a lot of attention has devoted to the role of information technology (IT) in firm performance. Also, electric industry is an important source of energy for countries all over the world. This research provides new discernments for better understanding the mechanisms supporting this relationship by analyzing the effect of IT maturity and relational maturity on the performance. In this research we have evaluated the role of IT maturity on firm performance considering the intervening role of relational maturity. This research proves that there is a significant and positive correlation between IT maturity and performance. Also we find that relational maturity plays a moderating role in this relationship. Findings of this research will be helpful for both academics and practitioners of information systems.
