Abstract

As an essential part of the liquid desiccant air conditioning system, the dehumidifier has great impact on the performance of the whole system. This paper studies the performance of a cross-flow internally-cooled dehumidifier based on the fin-tube heat exchanger. The influence of various inlet parameters on the dehumidification performance has been analyzed in detail, which will provide useful information for further study. Compared with popular dehumidifiers in literatures, it is found that the dehumidifier of this work performs well in terms of dehumidification rate and efficiency. Moreover, due to its large specific surface area, high corrosion resistance and light weight, the dehumidifier possesses high efficiency with small size, and hence has the possibility to make the system miniaturization.
