Abstract

To reduce environmental loads during the life cycle of a building, carbon management is required in addition to energy management. The carbon reducing sources include reduction of embodied energy and carbon in materials consisting a building, management of materials through improvement of their durability and repair cycle, reduction of embodied energy and carbon in a building through passive design and reduction of operating energy in the stage of use through active design. Therefore, through this study, it is aimed at analyzing roles of the existing eco-friendly architectural technologies to contribute to achieving ZEB/ ZCB in terms of the embodied energy/ carbon reduction.
