Abstract

It is significant to implement the Rural Revitalization Strategy (RRS) in China, especially when combined with local agriculture, energy and industry. This article takes the pilot system of a 30kg/h biomass gasifier as an example. Firstly, the energy conversion efficiency and economy of the system are studied. Secondly, the economy is improved by combining photovoltaics, and two scenarios were analysed. Finally, the economic benefits are calculated using the waste bamboo resources in the Taishun area of Zhejiang province as an example. The results indicate that the biomass gasifier can produce 1.89 Nm³/h biomass gasification gas per 1kg biomass, which has an energy efficiency of 47% and a static payback period of 8.2 years for the total system investment under the condition that the price of biomass gas is 1 yuan/Nm ³. With the support of photovoltaic technology, it can save 166 thousand yuan and the payback only 1.4years when the initial investment is 23.6 thousand yuan with 30 solar panels. The revenue during the system lifecycle can reach 290 thousand yuan, when increasing the number of solar panels and energy storage investments. The local waste bamboo resources in Taishun can provide 50 thousand tons annually, which can produce 30 GWh of electricity and resolve the electricity consumption of 3000 households.
