Abstract

This paper presents a laboratory facility for the measurement of the performance of a ground-source heat pump (GSHP) integrated with a rainwater storage tank. The GSHP utilises rainwater as a heat source by means of a vertical double spiral coil heat exchanger integrated into the rainwater storage tank. A one-dimensional numerical model has been developed to predict the transient temperature distribution of GSHP in a cylindrical coordinate.

Keywords. Ground-source heat pump; rainwater storage; transient heat transfer
