Abstract

The effect of different parameters on conservation of energy for two residential buildings with two different heating systems is investigated. Heating loads are calculated using Transfer Function Method in TEHRAN during a Metrological Typical Year. Size and capacity of heating systems are determined by steady-state load method. Energy consumption modelling and simulation for central heating system and heater is developed to calculate the heating energy consumption of the building based on hourly energy analysis. Finally with changing the effective design parameters and calculating the energy consumption in the building, the most effective parameters for saving energy in TEHRAN buildings were identified as the use of controlling modes for heating secondary system. This will reduce energy consumption at least 50%.
