Abstract

'Hanok' is very developed in its joint and align of vertical member and horizontal member as a wooden style of house architecture. These types of complex structure style could be developed since there were lack of metal goods in the past, and direct align between wood was more lasting than metals. However, these factors have rather become an obstacle of modernization and generalization of 'Hanok' because such a complex structure should pass through hands of craftsman after all. Recently, trimming timber of all sorts of members are handed down through experience of woodworkers. Therefore, there's a need down the cost of construction by making inquiries on manufacturing technique and modulation. 'sunjayoun' is trimmed and constructed on the spot, in the specific construction progress, different from other members because of its nature. Through modulation of member of 'sunjayoun', construction cost can be reduced by trimming mass of timber from factories or lumber mill, and it will also become able to improve or maintain quality of buildings.
