The Study of a Novel Fibre Guiding Light Solar Illumination System

This paper presents a new type of fiber guiding light solar illumination system. The structures and principles of this illumination system are introduced. The lighting device, key component of the system, is a new type of multi-surface complex concentrator. Under actual weather conditions, the experimental investigate were carried out. The relationship curves between internal illumination of the integrating box and solar radiation were given out. It can be found from the experimental results that the internal illuminance of the integrating box used in the experiment with the lighting system installed is much better than without it. The new green lighting system is feasible and has a good performance.
