Abstract

Nowadays, along with the deterioration of the world environment and the enhancement of people’s green awareness, the problem of the substitute of CFC which has aroused the depletion of the ozone and the other effects such as“greenhouse effect”has been urgent. Ammonia-water absorption refrigeration system which use Ammonia-water,no damage to the ozone layer and greenhouse effect, can be driven by wasted hot water or other heat sources to energy conservation effectively has become an important research direction in refrigeration industry. As one kind of absorption cycles, the diffusion absorption refrigerator uses the auxiliary gas to equalize the pressures throughout the system. Compared with the gas-compressed system, the diffusion-absorption cycle has no moving part and the associated noise and vibration as the ability to operate without any electric input, can be driven by various energy resources and does not have the problem of the substitute of CFC, furthermore it has positive significance in energy conservation, offpeak, environmental protection, promoting the use of gas. so it is a kind of absorption refrigeration mode which has broad application prospects. In the development of diffusion absorption refrigeration technology, diffusion absorption refrigeration system has been improved and enhanced continuously . Presents and discusses the recent research progress of diffusion absorption refrigeration which contains design of bubble pump, adjustment and optimization of operation parameters, utilization of low-grade thermal energy and selection of working medium.Suggests the further research of diffusion absorption refrigeration.

Keywords. diffusion absorption refrigeration cycle; bubble pump; operation parameter; low-grade thermal energy; working medium
