A fast fluidized bed reactor has been modeled in multi dimensions and applied to reforming of CH4. The reactor had membrane for the removal of H2 which could be located at different positions in the reactor, thus overcoming major reaction equilibrium limitations for CH4 conversion and H2 selectivity. The model was tested against literature values and also experimentally by reducing it to the limiting case of fixed bed reactor.
