There has been a demand for recovering the waste heat generated at the industrial site in order to increase the energy efficiency. However, there is a lack of proper engineering tools to design a waste heat recovery power generation system suitable for the temperature and the amount of waste heat generated in various industrial environments. In particular, the capacity of industrial waste heat is less than several MW, a small-sized low-cost power generation system is required. Particularly, in the case of a turbomachinery, as the system size becomes smaller, a turbine wheel size becomes smaller and the number of revolutions becomes higher. Therefore, there is a possibility that the manufacture and selection of the turbomachinery becomes impossible or the cost becomes high. In this study, the turbine and the pump models of engineering tool were conceptually designed which provide the design and selection guide of the turbine and the pump at the cycle design stage so that the waste heat recovery power generation system suitable for various waste heat conditions can be easily designed though our tool.
