Abstract

This paper was carried out to determine the vaporization characteristics of vaporizer with super low temperature liquid nitrogen gas. Vaporizer used in this experiment is aero fin coil tube type which has inside diameter of 5mm, outside diameter of 6mm. and total length of vaporizer is about 20,000mm. The experimental parameters are air velocity and flow rate of liquefied nitrogen. Temperatures of vaporizer surface were measured by T- type thermocouples. For measuring the surface temperature of vaporizer, the thermocouples were installed every 2,000mm in the vaporizer length direction. The results present temperature transitions and phenomenon on vaporizer surface with respect to the flow rates of liquefied nitrogen and air velocity as time function.
