Abstract

According to the statistics on nationwide waste generation and disposal in 2007 that the Ministry of Environment complied, recycling rate of construction wastes is rising every year, but, packaging and protection materials made from synthetic resin is incinerated or reclaimed. Recycling synthetic resin that involves massive CO2 emission in production and disposal processes is a critical piece of any initiative to reduce construction wastes and CO2 emission. Researches on reduction of CO2 emission from construction materials have focused primarily on production and use of such materials, with little attention paid to reduction of CO2 emission by recycling wastes. Therefore, this research intends to analyze the reduction effect of CO2 emission by recycling packaging and protection materials in building construction
