Abstract

Recent growth of interest about healthy lifestyle has led to the design and construction of environment-friendly buildings. Buildings taking on environment-friendly concept require additional construction costs, which lead many project clients to balk at accepting such concept. However, if it is possible to estimate costs as per level of environment-friendliness, it is also possible to determine the target level of environment-friendliness in the design phase. Therefore, this study aims to identify the cost impact on construction arising in proportion to the level of environment-friendly consideration in the design of residential buildings.
