Abstract

Contrary to the construction technology of existing buildings, the element technologies to implement eco-friendly and green building are applied in complex and complicated ways with the progressively increasing management elements of construction projects in energy saving buildings. Besides, the energy-saving buildings need to be embodied with high-level technologies in more efficient ways for project implementation, distinguished from the conventional ways. Also, cost-effective decision making process is required for application of technology. In this study, an integrated design method and process would be investigated for high-rise Zero Carbon Green Homes in South Korea, and the construction details and energy performance would be analyzed in terms of the effective project implementation. And it turned out the heating energy was reduced by 87%, and was the electricity by more than 50% with the technologies, materials and details of the proposed integrated design method, according to the final energy performance simulation. Therefore, it proves that the integrated design process and passive details suggested in this study shall be applicable methods for high-rise energy-saving buildings.
